Growing concerns about Temuka’s main street dying are bringing great minds together.
A think-tank will be held tomorrow afternoon for local business owners to come together to brainstorm what improvements could be made.
It is hoped the meeting willproduce ideas to revitalise the town centre and encourage locals and those travelling through to visit and shop in the main street.
Spokeswoman Sharnae Naysmith said the main idea behind the meeting was to gather business owners together to discuss ideas on how to improve the main street and encourage people to shop locally.
‘‘A lot of the time people have ideas, but don’t have the resources or experience to drive them and that’s what we see Boost Temuka as, a way to drive initiative and ideas.’’
Mrs Naysmith said the main feedback had been around the appearance of the main street.
‘‘Our hope is to take some of these ideas and potentially fundraise to make some happen.’’
The event will be held at the Temuka Rugby Clubrooms from 5pm-7pm tomorrow
Refreshments will be available and finger food provided.
