The school is set to stage their much anticipated year 8 production Frozen Jr next week.
Directed by Waihi directors of music Al and Sheryl Bradley, the show will open on Monday and run each night at 7pm through to Thursday.
In a statement Mr Bradley said excitement for the production was building.
‘‘The school production is always a highlight and incredibly well supported.
‘‘Our Gala Night on the final evening sold out within days.’’
Adding to the excitement, opening night on Monday has also been themed as a special dress-up night.
Audience members are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite characters. Prizes will be awarded at intermission for the best costumes.
There will also be the chance for families to enjoy photo opportunities with cast members after the show.

Mr Bradley said Frozen had been one of the most requested musicals by Waihi pupils and was he was looking forward to seeing the year 8 pupils bring the beloved story to the stage.
‘‘They have worked incredibly hard over the past couple of terms, and I’m looking forward to seeing them all shine. It’s an amazing group of young performers.’’
He said the production promised to be visually stunning, and would feature a combination of digital backdrops enhanced by hand-painted set panels.
‘‘The entire school community has played a part, with teachers and staff building and painting sets, sewing costumes, and assisting behind the scenes.
‘‘The year 7 music tech team has also been instrumental in supporting me with sound and lighting, and audiences may even be treated to a little snowfall magic.’’
