The Mitre 10 Mega Timaru carpark was once again the scene of some ferocious pushpowered racing. Like previous years, eight South Canterbury primary schools went headto-head for another edition of the Mitre 10 Interschool Pushcart competition. South Canterbury’s own rally superstar Hayden Paddon was also present to cheer on the pupils who raced around the track in carts they had put together themselves from kitsets provided by Mitre 10. Reporter Connor Haley captured some of high-speed action.
