Noel Burns was guest speaker, and sang some of Mr Robertson’s favourite tunes, accompanying himself on guitar.

The pair have known each other for more than 40 years through their involvement in Timaru’s music industry.

Mr Burns shared many memories of Mr Robertson’s time playing the drums with Jack Denley and in the Ian Owens Trio.
