A 12-year-old Timaru boy has made good on his promise to mow his mighty mullet.

On Friday Harlan Westaway said goodbye to his 5-year-old mullet after raising more than $3800 for Street Cats South Canterbury.

He was also donating the chopped mullet to Freedom Hair.

His givealittle page, The Great Mullet Mow-Down, will remain open for a little longer for anyone still wishing to donate.

Harlan’s mother Kelly Westaway makes the first cut.
