Dancing up a storm

South Canterbury primary school pupils gathered at The Jump Jam Extravaganza 2025 last Thursday at the Southern Trust Event Centre. The event is held annually to showcase the pupils’ achievements in the Jump Jam school’s aerobic programme. The Courier went along to capture the action.

Bringing it . . .The Waituna Warriors were made up of 11 of Waituna Creek School’s 27 pupils, ranging in year groups from 4-6. Principal Moragh Sutherland said the team had been practising since the beginning of term 2. The first-timers chose the song Freaks and decided it would be an excellent boot camp-style routine.
