The curtain was about to rise on the musical comedy whodunnit Curtains when Covid-19 lockdown put the whole show on hold.
The South Canterbury Drama League had to pull the pin as New Zealand went into lockdown, but weeks later, the show is finally about to open.
Drama league junior section chairwoman Tamara Hogg said they had managed to get the cast and volunteers back together in order to keep their promise to the children that they would do their best to bring the show back as soon as it was safe.
“Now, at [Alert] Level 1, we have a very excited juniors hanging out to finally get those audiences they’ve waited a long time for.”
The show will run at The Playhouse on Church St from July 8 to 11. Student rush night offers $15 tickets on Tuesday, July 7, enquiries to firstname.lastname@example.org
