Bricks for all to enjoy

There was no lack of creativity or support last weekend as Bluestone School’s Brickstone fundraiser raised $3500.

The community was treated to a Lego fest of epic proportions at the Timaru Boys’ High School hall on Saturday.

The fundraiser featured barrels of Lego for everyone to enjoy, as well 20 exhibitors from Christchurch to Dunedin displaying their creations.

Bluestone School year 3 and 4 team leader and event organiser Nikki Geddis captured the Lego frenzy.

Prize winner . . . Bluestone school pupil Hazel Wheatley, 8, and Lego Masters star and guest judge Jason De Vries show off her Lego creation.
Top build . . . This flower board MOC [My Own Creation] was built by Grace Curwood of Dunedin and won the People’s Choice Award.
Oh boy . . . An impressive largescale Mickey Mouse was built by Christchurch exhibitor Michael Hobbs.
Budding builder . . . Bluestone School pupil Paige Scorrar, 11, also received a prize for her Lego creation.
