Changeover at Lions Club


The Lions Club Timaru Suburban has celebrated its latest changeover at the Timaru Town and Country Club.
At the event, on July 6, Mary Williamson stepped down from the role of president and was replaced by Tony Kerr.
Mr Kerr’s board was inducted by past district governor Fern Blake, who attended the event with her husband Neil.
Everyone enjoyed a lovely meal put on by the club and great entertainment from Gordon Ronson, with Lion Syd Horgan participating well.
Two Melvin Jones awards were given out to Murray Swann and Syd Horgan. Mr Swann received his for his great chairmanship when the club organised the Multi-District Convention, plus his many years as a Lion. Mr Horgan was acknowledged for his many years as a Lion.
