World champion blade shearer Allan Oldfield is to receive a special welcome home this Sunday.
Since winning the world title in France in July, Oldfield has been shearing in the Falkland Islands.
His mother, Jo Oldfield, said the whole community was invited to the Village Green in Geraldine on Sunday.
Shearing demonstrations would be held and Oldfield’s trophies would be displayed.
His New Zealand team-mate, Tony Dobbs, of Fairlie, would also be appearing.
