Pre-Covid-19 “putting a sock in it” meant something different.

Now it has taken on a new meaning, certainly in Cave.

On Monday, Cannington School decided to make face masks using socks.

“Last Friday we said to the school that we didn’t know if they would be at school on Monday if we went to [Covid-19 Alert] Level 3,” principal Deane Power said.

“We asked them, if back at school, what do you want to do?

“They thought making masks.”

The question then became with what?

“My wife said why not turn a sock into a mask. It’s not too difficult, you just need good scissors.”

So when Monday rolled around the entire school – 12 pupils – was hard at it snipping up socks and recycling them as wearable masks.

“By 9.40 everyone had one and they wore them all day.”

Mr Power said the interesting thing would be how long the masks would remain usable.Buy SneakersAir Jordan 5 (V) Original – OG White / Black – Fire Red
