New Zealand Post is urging South Canterbury children to compile their wish lists before the pre-Christmas rush.

Children can start sending their Christmas wish lists to Santa, which will be delivered to him by NZ Post in coming weeks.

NZ Post spokeswoman Tina Morgan said the company loved playing a part in the festivities.

“Every year NZ Post receives tens of thousands of mail from kids all over New Zealand. As well as our interactive website, messages can also be sent to Santa by post,” she said.

To send a digital postcard, visit or to send a letter via post address the envelope to Santa Claus, c/- Santa’s Workshop, North Pole 001.

A postage stamp is not required, but the writer’s full name, address and postcode should be printed on the back.
