With spring comes spring cleaning, and the Timaru Rotary Club is keen to cash in on unwanted clutter.

The club is planning a massive garage sale on November 23 at the Timaru Town and Country Club. Funds raised will be given to MS South Canterbury and Heart Kids.

Social committee chairman Peter Russell said that as the weather warmed up, people were likely to embark on some spring cleaning and clearing out of “stuff”, so the club was keen to get the word out that it would be looking for items to sell.

Club members would be turning out their own cupboards and garages to find money-making items, and would collect donated goods just prior to the event, he said.
