SeniorNet has moved to bright new premises on Ara’s Timaru campus.

The group took up residence in the Confucius Room, off North St, last week, ending a 26-year tenure upstairs in the Tekapo Building on Stafford St.

SeniorNet member Anne Carey said the old premises had served the group well, but flights of stairs could be a challenge, and the new building offered easy parking and access, including wheelchair access.

The group at present had 43 members, and met on the first Thursday of every month for a question and answer meeting. Workshops that dealt with more intensive subjects like Excel and PowerPoint were also held, and Ara had offered assistance when needed.
