The Movember mancave is on the market as a network of Timaru people prepare to refocus their efforts to raise awareness about men’s health.
The Mobile Mancave was renovated as part of the Movember campaign in 2013 with the aim of transporting it to events throughout Canterbury to take the message far and wide.
The project was launched by local group Ti-mo-ru, a network of people who had been promoting Movember.
However, members got tied up with other projects and the caravan has been sitting idle in a paddock south of Timaru for the past three years.
Movember campaigner Richard Brown said the caravan was going to auction as Ti-mo-ru prepared to refocus its efforts this year and step up the profile of men’s health.
“We did one really good year with the caravan through a grant we received,” Mr Brown said.
“We have events we are planning for this year so the proceeds of the sale of the caravan will go towards Movember.
“Someone should enjoy the caravan.”
Mr Brown said the group was keen to get “some traction for this year’s Movember campaign”.
“It’s time to bring back Ti-mo-ru.
“Our goal is for it to be bigger and better while still remaining focused on men’s mental and physical health.”
