Hospice is $4822 better off following its latest street appeal.
The appeal in Timaru and Temuka last week involved 110 collectors, who worked in shifts around South Canterbury.
Among those who helped collect on Thursday and Friday were South Canterbury Hospice volunteers and pupils from Timaru Girls’ High School, Timaru Boys’ High, Roncalli College and St Joseph’s Primary School, Temuka.
Money raised would go towards wages for “our fantastic nursing staff”, hospice fundraiser Jeanna Munro said.
“The support offered was once again great, we are so lucky to have so many fabulous volunteers and the amazing support from our local schools.
“Without this help we would not have been able to run our appeal. A huge thank you to all who helped and also a huge thank you to all who gave to their hospice.”
