Escape the cold outside with a visit to the Aigantighe Art Gallery in the school holidays.
Thereare lots of free activitiesfor kids of all ages with art hunts, lucky dips and an art competition all on.

The art competition theme is Matariki: Maori New Year. There are plenty of coloured pencils at the gallery for children to complete their entries or they can take the entry form home to get creative on a wet and cold day.
Entries have to be in by July 24, to have achance to win one of the three art prize packs. Prizes will be awarded in school assemblies the first couple of weeks back.
There will be winter-themed colouring-in onoffer which will be displayed in the gallery. Children love to see their own art up on the wall.
Colourful dress-ups are available for the kids to wear while exploring art in the gallery. A visit to the Aigantighe is a great way to brighten up your winter holidays.
The gallery is open Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 4pm and from noon to 4pm on weekends and public holidays. Entry is always free.
