Budding young Timaru dancers are finding their feet on the dance floor.
Sixteen children aged 2-4 entertained an audience at Elloughton Gardens retirement home on Friday as part of a St Patrick’s Day performance, complete with sparkly green costumes.
The children, who are learning dance techniques through Tip Toe Dance, were regular visitors at Elloughton Gardens, where they enjoy showcasing their many skills, teacher Amanda Ruemenapf said.
“It’s quite nice to see the little ones performing for the elderly because they love it.”
Fifteen girls and one boy performed on Friday. They each attend a preschool dance class for beginners where they learn movement and musical appreciation.
A range of other Tip Toe Dance children who attend school performed another concert in Timaru later in the day.
