Strength and stamina were put to the test when Waimataitai School pupils recently battled it out in a tug of war.
The event, hosted on the school field on Friday, was part of a fun day out for the children, staff and parents, who came along to watch the action.
A mini fair organised by year 8 pupils was also held at the school, where toys and games were offered for a small donation.
