The magic of Cinderella is coming to Timaru.
The Aidan Theatre is staging the fairytale from December 17 to 24, with families encouraged to witness the “sparkle and fun” of the show before Christmas.
Director Kimble Henderson said the traditional pantomime explored whether Cinderella would make it to the ball, would the glass slipper fit, and would Cinders and Prince Charming live happily ever after?
“It’s a nice family show and the traditional Cinderella story, with a twist,” Henderson said.
There was a dame and lots of humour.
“It has gags for adults and for younger ones – there’s something for everyone.”
The show will be the second for the theatre since it was opened by Henderson this year.
A colouring-in competition was being run alongside it.
Cinderella is being performed at 7pm, with matinees at 1pm, on December 17, 18 and 24.
