Timaru woman Rosie Staite has published a follow-up to her 2015 book Take a Minute.

The pages of Take a Minute 2 each contain a photo by Mrs Staite along with a reflection and a quote by a writer.

It is her fourth book. The first edition of her first book, All Age Worship, sold out and All Age Worship Volume 2 is selling well throughout New Zealand.

Mrs Staite originally trained as a teacher and musician, raised a family and taught music in Canterbury.

She now works as a celebrant in South Canterbury.

“I have had a lifetime of ministry with people as a celebrant and in churches, but these books are written for people outside church doors looking for holiness in everyday situations,” she said.

“People find it to be a great coffee-table book. It is meant to have something for everyone. It is to draw strength in tough times, celebrate unexpected joy, reflect on global change, endings and new beginnings. Keep it close by to delve into or give it to a friend. Just take a minute!”

Her photography and reflections highlighted the holiness in everyday life, she said.

Take a Minute 2 is available from Highfield Gift and Post, Timaru Christian Store, Philip Garside Publishing in Wellington or by contacting Mrs Staite on 027-9195-580.
