Members’ works will be showcased at the society’s rooms, the old bluestone buildings at 22 Gleniti Rd, Timaru, for the society’s annual Spring Exhibition.
Society member Sue Connolly was looking forward to the event, which she said would give the community a chance to admire works covering a wide range of mediums from multimedia and watercolour to acrylic and oil paint. Sculpture and print would also feature.
‘‘We’ve probably got about 30 to 35 people who will exhibit.’’
Exhibitors would display between about two to three items each.
‘‘We just want people to know we are here, so all [are] welcome,’’ Mrs Connolly said.
‘‘There’s no cost to come in or anything. We’ll even make you a cup if tea of you turn up.’’
The exhibition will open on August 11 at 7.30pm, and will be open to the public for further viewings from August 12 to 14, from 10am to 3pm.
